Compensation

It is understood that a staff position in University Housing cannot easily be translated into hours worked per day or week because of the unique nature of the responsibilities and circumstances. The position requires a genuine personal commitment, flexibility, and good understanding of the unpredictable nature of the actual time involved. To compensate the Resident Assistant for this time and dedication, the Department of University Housing provides Resident Assistants with a monthly stipend of $652 per month (September-April) and a partial monthly stipend based on the number of working days in the month for August and May. Also, Resident Assistants are given a single room at the price of a double room and have access to free laundry.
