Welcome to the RA Selection online application process! The RA Recruitment and Selection Committee is excited that you are considering submitting an application for the best and most rewarding leadership position at the University of Tennessee. This experience will provide you with the opportunity to meet many new people, make a difference in the lives of others, and teach you skills for your future.
This website is designed to help you learn about the Resident Assistant position and our selection process as well as answer any questions you may have. ELIGIBILITY
Academic Standing
Candidates are required to be in good academic standing with the University, which includes enrolling in at least 9 academic hours. Candidates must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.50 at the time of application and at the time of appointment and must maintain this minimum GPA throughout the duration of employment with the department. Current first-year students must have a minimum GPA of 2.50 at the end of the fall semester to continue with the RA Selection process.
Disciplinary Standing
Candidates are required to be in good disciplinary standing with the University. Each candidate's disciplinary history will be checked with the Office of Student Judicial Affairs. Candidates currently serving probation with the Office of Student Judicial Affairs are not eligible for employment. All candidates having a prior disciplinary history will be reviewed on an individual basis to determine eligibility. Having a disciplinary history with the University or the department does not eliminate a candidate from consideration, but the nature of the incident(s) may determine the possibility of you being selected as an RA.
