Future Residents – Living Learning Communities
The CASNR Community
The CASNR Community provides incoming students the opportunity to connect with other students in the College of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources and the Morrill Residence Hall. All students in the learning community will be enrolled in their respective departmental orientation course [note: if your department does not have an orientation course, you will be enrolled in ANR 100, which is an orientation course open to all majors in CASNR] AND Agriculture and Natural Resources 317: Learning Community Seminar, which is a mandatory 1-credit course for CASNR community members both fall and spring semesters. During the fall this course serves as an interactive introduction to CASNR. You will have the opportunity to participate in experiential learning workshops conducted by various faculty and staff members throughout CASNR for the purpose of learning how all majors/departments in CASNR are interconnected. During the spring, the 1-credit course will be focused on leadership and community service.
By living in the same residence hall, taking courses together, and having the opportunity to participate in activities outside of class, you will quickly meet other students who share the same academic or career interests, form study groups, and get more out of your classes.
