Living on Campus
Experiences gained by living in residence halls are an invaluable part of your education. Many students develop lifelong friendships here. The university housing staff is committed to making your stay as positive, productive, and enjoyable as possible.
The University of Tennessee is a residential campus with 12 residence halls accommodating nearly 7,500 students. Living on campus allows you to be a part of a wide range of residence hall activities designed to contribute to a fantastic first-year experience—and greatly increases your probability of satisfaction with university life. And believe it or not, living on campus also increases your chances of graduating!
The Department of University Housing requires all freshmen to live on campus, and this works to your advantage in many ways. When you live on campus, you live where the action is, and all facilities are within easy access! Since you will spend more time out of class than in the classroom, the quality of UT’s housing program is very important to you.
The staff of University Housing wants to make sure you’re getting the most out of your Tennessee Living experience. This Web site gives you helpful information about the advantages of living on campus and about the housing application process.
